Andrew Covil, better known as The Churchyard Ghost, reached out with the intriguing prospect of mixing an album. I have always wanted to mix a full album, and while this was a challenge, it was an awesome experience! At some point I will be doing a video on the topic, as I learned a few things in the making of this album. Keep an eye on YouTube for the planned Video Content, and for now, go support the release!

Is it pronounced Moog or Moog?

I’ve been writing music for a while, and one of my first hardware synths was a Moog Subsequent 37. It’s a fantastic little piece of gear, with tons of sonic potential. This month, I’m proud to present a project that really shows off a lot of what the Sub 37 can do! There’s a surprising amount made with this piece of kit in this track, and I hope you can enjoy the bounce and groove as I have been!

Can I tell you a story?

Five years ago, I wrote a song. At the time, it may not have been even my best song. Then something happened. Life happened, and around that life happening, the song continued to resonate with me. As I grew as an artist, the song came along with me and grew too. It has been through countless revisions (42 major revisions in actuality). Each month I got a little better as an artist, and each year I grew in size and stature as a person and as a musician. This song was following every move I made, every improvement, every bittersweet moment and every triumph. By the end of the writing process what I had written wasn’t truly a song, it was my journey as the person I have become over the past 5 years.

After all this time, I am so happy to finally show what I have made to the world. It has been a breath of fresh air to finally feel as if I am worthy of showing it to the world. I’ll eventually sit down and talk about this song over on my YouTube if you so choose to stick around.

I had so much enjoyment working on this project, and I hope you will enjoy listening to it as I have had making it.

Clear Your Head

Hey everyone!

This track has been on my mind for a few years. It's about chilling out and remembering to relax once in a while, and represents my struggle to do so for the past few months. This song is about clearing your head in order to perform at your best. I hope you can take away some lessons from my experiences with work ethic and all that, but until then, please enjoy this release to the fullest!

Today I am super excited to be releasing OBSCURUS!

This track was created for the Loopop Superbooth Contest 2021, using only the samples provided. This was certainly a fun challenge, but also a good time to experiment with some sound design!

Obscurus is about the changing nature of the future, and how not everything is set in stone. This song is a bit of a personal outlet about some challenges I’ve been dealing with lately. Thanks for listening and thanks for your support!
